There are a lot of things that you can do once you set up your WeChat Wallet. One of the essential thing is to buy Cinema
Tickets.. We will guide you through the process, however, you also need some basic chinese in order to buy the right movie from WeChat.
Step by Step:
- Open WeChat
- Press the ‘Me’ button at the bottom of the screen, then tap the ‘Wallet’ option.
3. You will then be taken to the main Wallet menu. Tap ‘Movie Tickets’
4. You will see movies that are currently showing or coming soon in your area. You can change the city (tap A) and you also can see your ticket by tapping the ‘Me’ button later.
You need to remember if ticket that being bought by WeChat cannot be refunded.

5. Choose the movie you want and tap on the ‘Buy Ticket’ button. You will see the list of cinemas showing this movie. You can either choose ‘Buy ticket and book seats now’ or ‘Buy voucher’ and redeem it later in the cinema. Some cinemas however do not offer the voucher option.
Voucher might have more flexible time (usually 30 days) however, buying it straight from WeChat is cheaper and guarantee the seat that chosen will be available.

6. Decide which cinema you want and tap it. You’re now looking at the schedule of the movie and the price. Tap on the screening time that you want.
A: Name of the cinema
B: Address of the cinema
C: Starting time
D: Estimated finishing time
E: Amount to be paid
7. Fill in your phone number in the blank so the order will be valid.
8. Now you are looking at the seats map for the screening you selected. Choose the seat you want.
A: Done
B: Seats available
C: Seats you chose
D: Seats not available
9. Now you proceed to payment. When you arrive at the cinema, show the code (send to the phone number that you input before) to the staff in the ticket office and they will give you the ticket. In big cinemas, there are also automatic machines that you can use to redeem your ticket.

10. Pay through WeChat Wallet and you will get the redeem code. You can also find the ticket in the ‘Me’ section, where all your tickets or vouchers can be found.
