In September of 2014, I made the one of the most important decisions in my life; to leave Beijing, the place where I had spent 7 years, and come to Dalian where I would experience new ways of life, new environment and meet new friends.

В сентябре 2014 года я сделал одно из самых важных решений в моей жизни – покинуть Пекин, место, где я прожил 7 лет, и переехать в Далянь, где мне предстояло приобрести новый жизненный опыт, встретить новых друзей, сменить обстановку.

Before coming to Dalian, I had hard time deciding if I should leave Beijing, but when I started doing research about this city I saw so many beautiful pictures of beautiful sceneries that convinced me to spend some time in this place. One of the things that attracted me to move here was the idea that I would live near the sea. I'm a man that grew up in an island, so any opportunity to be near to the sea is always a very good thing to me.

Конечно у меня были сомнения по поводу переезда, но когда я начал искать информацию о Даляне, то увидел фотографии красивых пейзажей. Они и побудили меня к переезду. И да, еще одна вещь, которая меня привлекла здесь, это море. Я вырос на острове, поэтому я решил не упускать возможность жить у моря.

I came here because I was hired by an IT company, for which I work as the Senior Software QA for development of Portuguese Application and web applications. When I’m not working, I spend my time practicing my hobbies: body-building and photography.

Я был приглашен на работу в IT компанию, где я по сей день работаю в должности главного программного разработчика португальских приложений и веб-приложений. В свободное от работы время я занимаюсь своим хобби: бодибилдинг и фотография.

One of the things I really like about Dalian is its environment. Even though it is a small city if compared with Beijing, Dalian is a place any person who likes photography would want to be; the variety of beautiful sceneries to shoot is endless, and there’s so much to explore here starting from beautiful seaside landscapes to friendly people around. 

Природа, пейзажи и климат – это то, что мне нравится в Даляне. Несмотря на то, что Далянь по сравнению с Пекином маленький город, но в нем есть что-то особенное, что привлекает любого, кто любит фотографию. Разнообразие прекрасных пейзажей бесконечно богатое, ты всегда найдешь что-то новое, начиная с прекрасных приморских пейзажей и заканчивая дружелюбными людьми вокруг.

Last year, I decided to buy a drone. The major purpose of it is to make a short movie showing the beautiful sceneries in Dalian, and the movie ended up being 16 minutes long because there are so many beautiful places that needed to be included in that video.

В прошлом году я решил купить себе дрон. Главной целью было отснять фильм, способный полностью показать красивейшие виды в Даляне, фильм длится 16 минут, потому что красивых местечек, которые достойны быть в этом фильме, очень много.

I’m a photographer who likes to take pictures of urban cityscapes, landscapes and also portraits of people. By combining beautiful people of Dalian with the city’s beautiful sceneries, I can always get the best shots that I want.

Я люблю фотографировать городские пейзажи и людей. Снимая красивые лица на фоне прекрасного города, мне удается получать отличные кадры.

I have been living in China for 10 years, and the last 3, which I spent here, are the best years of my life. I have taken the time to pursue my passion in photography and improved it to the next level, and that is because this city really inspires any person who owns a camera to keep shooting.

Я прожил в Китае около 10 лет, последние 3 из которых были самыми лучшими.  Я уделял много времени на оттачивание навыков по съемке, поднялся на ступень выше, и это все только потому что, город вдохновляет любого человека, который любит фотографию и съемку.

Another thing that I like about Dalian is the expat life. Here, most of the foreigners know each other, and even though we are living in this foreign country, that network we have with each other makes us feel at home.

Еще одна вещь, которую я люблю в этом городе, это жизнь иностранцев. Здесь, большая часть иностранцев знают друг друга, и несмотря на то, что мы все живем на чужбине, все же сообщество, которое существует на данный момент позволяет чувствовать себя как дома.

In 2018, due to some changes in my professional life, I will need to move on to face another life challenges in another cities. But Dalian, just like Beijing, will always be in my heart. Dalian is my second home in China, so I promise that whenever I have the time, I will always come back to visit; to see my friends, to enjoy the seaside sceneries, and to keep taking beautiful pictures. 

В 2018 году по причине перемен в моей профессиональной жизни мне придется уехать. Но Далянь, как и Пекин останутся навсегда в моем сердце. Далянь - мой второй дом в Китае, и я обещаю, что вернусь сюда обязательно, чтобы вновь увидеть друзей, насладиться пейзажами и сделать еще пару тройку хороших кадров.
