Today we would like to introduce you to an Italian restaurant we have discovered.

We have interviewed the  Italian main chef working there and thanks to his collaboration we will introduce you to it.

I come from a big family back in Italy and each of us has a great passion for cooking. Our tradition is to gather every Sunday for a big meal where we cook all together. This love for food is the reason why my older brother opened up a restaurant in Rome. I was only 11 years old when I started helping him and developing my skills. Then, at 18 years old I was hired as a sous chef. The job kept me very busy because the restaurant was always filled with people. Afterwards, in 2010, I came to China to work as the executive chef for banqueting for the Italian Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo. 

我来自意大利的一个大家庭，在我们家人人都热爱烹饪。每周日全家一起做一桌丰盛的大餐是我们家的传统。因为对烹饪的热爱，所以大哥在罗马开了一家餐厅，当时11岁的我也从那时起，开始培养做菜的技能。在我18岁那年，我被聘为餐厅的副厨师长，餐厅生意红火，我也开始忙得不可开交。后来在2010年的上海世博会担任意大利馆的行政主厨。

One year later, I moved to the USA where I had different kinds of jobs. My life in the US lasted 2 years, because in 2013 I went back to Italy. There, my brother and I became partners and I finally got a position as main chef. That experience was particularly useful because it made me grow professionally. In 2017, some friend of mine who is working in China as a food supplier introduced me to some job opportunities in different Chinese cities. After receiving 8 offers, I decided to take the one in Dalian. I am glad for the choice I made because I really like staying here - the city is clean, beautiful and with great weather.

一年后，我搬到了美国，在那里换了很多份工作，两年后，我又回到了意大利，与我的哥哥成为了合伙人，我担任餐厅主厨，这是一份弥足珍贵的经历，促使我快速成长。2017年，一些在中国工作的朋友为我介绍了几份不同城市的工作机会，再接到了8个Offer之后，我选择来到大连发展。现在来说，我能证明这份选择是正确的，我也很喜欢大连这座城市，她干净，美丽，气候宜人。

I am now working as the main chef at “Al Bacio” restaurant in Jiefang Road. Here, we cook traditional and authentic Italian food. I noticed that in China there is a general misconception of pasta being the same as noodles, yet the fact is that the taste is completely different. What I say to the people who work with me is that in order to cook better Italian food, you really need to like and appreciate it. That’s why everybody here is passionate about what they’re doing. 

我现在在位于解放路的那之吻意大利餐厅担任主厨，这是一家做正宗意大利菜的餐厅，通过观察发现，中国人普遍觉得意大利面和面条是一样的，但其实味道完全不同，我对我的同事说，如果你想做出最美味的意大利菜，你要发自内心的喜欢这份职业，这也是在那之吻餐厅工作的每个人都充满热情的原因。

Most of our clients are foreigners who want to enjoy some Italian meal during the week or at weekends. Instead, our Chinese customers prefer coming here for special occasions such as Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day. Pizza, pasta, and desserts are usually the most ordered dishes but we also offer a selection of fish and meat. 

我们的大多数客户都是外国人，他们会在周末在这里享用一些正宗的意大利餐，而中国顾客更喜欢在这里度过一些特殊的节日，比如母亲节或者情人节。比萨，意大利面和各种甜点通常是最受欢迎的菜肴，同样我们也提供各类鱼类或者肉类菜肴。

The restaurant is very spacious, it spreads over two floors, it is characterized by fine dining setting and an open-style kitchen with a big carbon oven. 

During Fridays and Saturdays we always have bands playing some live music to entertain our guests.

这间餐厅十分宽敞，分上下两层，特色是一个明亮的用餐环境，还有一个开放式的厨房，你可以看到一个巨大的烤箱及比萨的制作过程。

每周五、周六，这里会有现场乐队表演，供客人欣赏。

Even if the restaurant has been opened for only one year and a half, it has already won 2 awards in 2017. This is mainly because of the great services we offer to our clients and I couldn't be more proud of our success and achievements. 

虽然餐厅开业只有一年半的时间，但已经在2017年获得过两个奖项，归功于我们为顾客提供的良好的服务环境，这将督促我们更好的成长。
