Today we are going to introduce you to a restaurant chain that is originally from Northwest China. We have two reasons for introducing this restaurant chain to you:

Firstly, They do not add MSG to any of their menus.

Secondly, They have authentic northwestern style dishes.

A lot of foreigners are not used to consuming MSG (monosodium glutamate) on a daily basis because they believe that it might harm the body when consumed too much. Hence, this restaurant chain could be an alternative place to go for those who dislike MSG.

关于这一点，要好好说一下。很多外国人是不吃味精，因为他们觉得味精是化学制品，对人身体不好，所以对味精的问题十分重视，这也是大连老外介绍西贝莜面村的理由之一。

In 2013 and 2015, Xibei oat noodles dishes were served in the United Nation Headquarters as some of the representatives of Chinese delicacies. With this level of accomplishments, we can totally be sure about their quality.

2013年西贝莜面第一次走进联合国，2015年再次走进联合国，并不是吹捧它有多么牛气，只是想说敢走进联合国的餐厅，品质一定是有保证的。

Our dear friend Harry comes from Inner Mongolia, and he found out that the dishes served in the restaurant taste just like his mother's home-cooked dishes he used to eat growing up. 老朋友Harry是一个地道的内蒙古人，也是他发现了这家店里的很多菜都是他妈妈做过的菜，从小就是吃着这些饭菜长大的，因此觉得十分亲切。既然都来到了中国，为什么不尝尝地道的西北菜肴呢？

Huang Momo (yellow steamed buns) maker Huang Laohan (the guy in the picture below) began to gain popularity after his appearance in the first season of "A Bite of China".

《舌尖上的中国》大家都看过了吧，第一季节目火了下面这位陕北黄老汉。

Huang Momo represents the traditional folk delicacies in the northwest, and Xibei sees it as an important element of its culinary mission. So, after committing continuous effort, Xibei finally recruited Huang Laohan as the image spokesperson of the Huang Momo. Huang Laohan also teaches the production methods of the yellow buns.

黄馍馍代表着西北民间传统美食，与西贝五谷杂粮传播方向吻合。因此经过西贝的不断努力，最终黄老汉成为了西贝黄馍馍的形象代言人，亲自传授制作方法。

In the second season of "A Bite of China", Zhang Grandpa (the grandpa in the picture below) gained popularity after his handmade noodles appeared in the documentary series.

第二季《舌尖上的中国》，又火了张爷爷的手工空心挂面，就是下面那位老爷爷。

Similar to Huang Laohan's Huang Momo, after three consultations, Zhang Grandpa's handmade noodles also joined Xibei's menu.

同样，经过三次协商，最后手工空心挂面也被加进“西贝莜面”的菜单中了。
