Some years ago, I wrote in my journal:

“Walk if you may, Jump if you can, Fly if you will, but change, always change.”

很多年钱，我曾在日记中记录过一段话：

“你可以想走就走，想跳便跳，如果可以飞，那便毫不犹豫的张开翅膀。但是改变，不可以只是想想，无时无刻都要去改变。”

Now as I look back, I know I really wanted to fly, not jump or walk. I have travelled to 64 countries, I have lived in over 20, and I have been in China for 13 years. I am happy to call myself “citizen of the world”.

回首往事，我知道自己不想走，也不想跳，只是想飞。我曾去过64个国家，在其中超过20个国家生活过，在中国生活了13年，很荣幸可以称自己为“世界公民”。

Two years ago, I ventured here – Dalian. This was not my dream destination after spending time in Xiamen and Shanghai but I became attached to Dalian pretty quickly. I love the people – they reach out – I am happy with the environment – not as polluted as I thought – and I enjoy my job at DUFE.

两年前，我冒险来到大连，虽然这里和厦门或者上海有所差异，不过我很快就爱上了这里。我喜欢热情好客的大连人，喜欢干净清新的环境，我喜欢东北财经大学的这份工作。

I love the flowers in Spring, the mild weather in Summer, and this slow pace of life.

喜爱大连春天漫街的花朵，凉爽的夏天，相对缓慢的生活节奏。

I have discovered a few quiet places to run away to when I need a ‘daycation’ - Tiger Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, seaside at Heishijiao….

同样，我也找到了很多安静的地方，适合忙里偷闲，老虎滩，渔人码头，黑石礁的海边等等....

I have enjoyed unique tastes from the seafood market at Lushun – giant prawns, abalone, shallots….

还品尝了旅顺当地新鲜的海鲜，大虾，鲍鱼，以及当地的青葱等等...

Right now, this is my home away from home and I know I am bridging East-West gaps here.

现在的我，已经把这里当做第二故乡，渐渐适应了中西文化的融合，享受生活。
