Dalian International Walking Festival 2019
This much anticipated event of year comes on Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19.
It has 4 set menus: 5km, 10km, 20km, 30km
The 33rd Dalian Import and Export Commodities Fair
The fair will integrate trade promotion and retail sales, and create a multi-level and multi-field trade exhibition and trading platform for Chinese and foreign enterprises.
Date: May 16th to 19th, 2019.

Metro Line 7 (Baihe Villa – Gangwan Square) under planning
Local media reported that local transportion office started working on the planning phrase of metro line 7. Total length 16.0 km to cover, and 17 stations to use once it is in operation.

International Students Photography Show @ DUT
Dalian University of Technology is celebrating its 70 anniversary by exhibiting photography taken by international students. The Chinese name is called "留印连理"
留 = 留学生，international students
印 = 印象，print, impressions, visions, or photography
连 = 大连, dalian city
理 = 理工大学，how local people call DUT, 'meaning university of technology'

WANDA GROUP to Invest 80 Billion RMB in Shenyang
Technically it is not Dalian news, but we wrote it anyway as shenyang city is very close to Dalian, its development will also impact many lives here.
The 80 billion investment will be in such areas: Cultural Tourism, International Hospitals and International Schools (K12 education).
Clearly Wanda Group is targeting world class in these areas.

I was there when she was performing the last show as a member of 'The Lazy Dreamers' at Hertz Bar (later moved to heishijiao and called 赫兹空间).
